Description

The Mexicano oak bi-fold door brings the bold vertical-groove Mexicano face to a space-saving folding door, in real American white oak veneer supplied unfinished. Two slim leaves are pre-hinged together and glide on a supplied aluminium track, folding neatly back on themselves to open up a doorway without a standard door's swing. It sits among our oak bi-fold doors.

A Space-Saving Fold

Where a hinged door needs room to swing, the bi-fold concertinas back against the frame, so it is a neat solution for utilities, studies, en-suites and compact openings. The two leaves come joined with heavy-duty hinges and run on the included aluminium track, with full fitting instructions supplied. The overall 1981mm height includes the track, which helps when the bi-fold replaces a standard door; note that bi-fold widths sit slightly under the equivalent standard width, so measure your opening before ordering.

Finishing Your Door

Faced in real American white oak veneer over a solid engineered core, the Mexicano is supplied unfinished, so you can match it to your existing oak. Seal the veneer with a clear or natural hard wax oil from our wood treatments to protect it and bring out the grain; oak veneer is best oiled rather than painted or stained. It is backed by a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee, and takes a 2mm trim allowance on each side.

To allow you to spend where it matters, the cheapest available delivery option will automatically be selected at the checkout stage. Don’t forget that orders over £800 will qualify for free shipping!

*We apply a shipping surcharge of £35.00 to certain postcodes for door orders and £25 for timber only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery page for more information.

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
