The doors in this range are fully certified FD30 doors that give a tested 30 minutes of fire resistance, chosen because they sit at the more affordable end of the range rather than because they cut any corners on safety. The saving is in the finish and the styling, not the protection.

Where the saving comes from

Cheaper fire doors tend to use simpler finishes, such as primed or white faces ready to paint, and more standard sizes, which keeps the price down. What does not change is the core: every door here is tested and certified to hold back fire for 30 minutes, so it meets the same legal standard as a pricier door on a protected opening.

Styles in the budget range

Even at the lower end there is choice. Plain flush fire doors are the most affordable, with simple panelled faces for a more traditional look.

Fitting a budget fire door

An affordable door still has to be fitted like any other fire door. It only performs as a complete doorset, with a fire-rated frame or lining, intumescent seals and fire-rated hinges. Building control or a fire risk assessment will confirm the rating your opening needs.
