The Standard Width for Most UK Doorways
762mm, or 30 inches, is the most common internal door width in the UK, so it is the size most doorways are built to and the first one to check when you are replacing a door. A 762mm fire door gives you that standard fit with a tested fire-resisting core, which makes it the easy choice for landings, hallways and main rooms in the majority of homes.

Measuring for a 762mm door
762mm is the door leaf width, not the opening. Measure the existing door if you are swapping like for like, or the structural opening allowing for the frame or lining if you are starting from scratch. Fire doors can only be trimmed by the small amount the maker allows, so it is better to buy the nearest size up and take a little off than to force an undersized door to fit.
Styles, finishes and rating
Almost every door in the range comes in 762mm, so you can have this size in oak, white and the other finishes, in panelled, flush or glazed styles. Most are fitted at a 30-minute rating, our FD30 fire doors, and like any fire door a 762mm door only performs as a complete doorset with a fire-rated frame, intumescent seals and fire-rated hinges.
