White is the easiest finish to live with: it brightens a hallway, bounces light around a small landing and sits happily against almost any wall colour or floor. A white fire door gives you that clean look with a tested fire-resisting core underneath, so the door earns its place on a protected opening without drawing attention to itself.

Primed or factory-finished white
White fire doors come two ways. Primed doors arrive with a base coat and are made to be painted, so you can match the exact white or colour you want. Factory-finished white doors are ready to hang straight away, in a smooth or lightly grained face. Either way the white sits over a solid fire-rated core, so the finish is about looks while the core does the protecting.
Panelled, flush and glazed
White works across every style. Crisp panel fire doors suit traditional and modern rooms alike, plain flush fire doors give a clean contemporary face, and glazed fire doors borrow light into darker hallways. If you want a warmer or bolder look instead, the same doors come in oak, grey and black.
Rating and fitting
Most white fire doors are fitted at a 30-minute rating, our FD30 fire doors, with a few rated to 60 minutes for higher-risk openings. Like any fire door they only perform as a complete doorset, with a fire-rated frame or lining, intumescent seals and fire-rated hinges. Building control or a fire risk assessment will confirm the rating your opening needs.
