Oak suits period and modern interiors alike, sitting just as comfortably against original mouldings as it does in a pared-back contemporary room, and it takes an oiled finish that lifts the grain and deepens the tone over time. It is the material most people picture when they think of a warm, established interior, which is why oak remains the most popular choice across our whole range. Engineered oak, with a genuinely solid option

Most of our oak doors are built on an engineered core with a real oak veneer. That construction stays flatter and is far less prone to warping than a single piece of hardwood, while still showing true oak grain on both faces, which makes it the sensible choice when you are hanging several doors that need to match and behave consistently across a floor. It is real oak where it counts, on a core built to stay straight.

For a handful of rustic, ledged designs we also offer genuinely solid oak doors, the heavier barn and cottage styles where the weight and solidity are part of the character. And if you prefer a paler tone, the light oak range keeps things bright and fresh, while the full spread of finishes runs from those pale tones through to deeper, richer oak.

Styles to choose from

Within oak you can pick by look. Clean flush oak doors give a smooth, contemporary face, while classic panelled oak doors bring a more traditional line, and glazed oak doors borrow light between rooms where a hallway or internal room needs it. Where a rustic, latched look suits the room our cottage doors lean into it, and where an FD30 rating is needed our oak fire doors keep the same oak face. Finish and fit

Unfinished doors let you match the exact oil or wax to the rest of your woodwork, while prefinished doors arrive already oiled and ready to hang, saving a job on site. Most come in standard UK sizes and many can be trimmed a little to the opening, and to carry the oak right through the doorway, matching oak architrave and skirting tie the frame into the room.
