A smooth, contemporary black

Black fire doors come in smooth factory finishes and primed options you can paint, from soft matt to a deeper near-black. The colour sits over a solid fire-rated core, so the drama is on the face while the tested performance sits underneath.

Flush, panelled and glazed

Black suits clean and modern designs especially well. Plain flush fire doors make the boldest statement, while glazed options add light where a fully black door might feel heavy.

Rating and fitting

Most black fire doors are fitted at a 30-minute rating, our FD30 fire doors. Like any fire door they only perform as a complete doorset, with a fire-rated frame or lining, intumescent seals and fire-rated hinges. Building control or a fire risk assessment will confirm the rating your opening needs.
