Why an internal door won't last outside

Security is the next issue. Internal doors carry basic latches and light locks meant for privacy, not protection. As an entrance they're far easier to force, leaving your home more vulnerable in a way a reinforced external door simply isn't.

With a lighter core and no thermal detailing, an internal door does little to hold heat in, so you lose warmth in winter, gain it in summer, and feel the difference on your heating bills.
