Sometimes, no matter how much time or money you’ve spent on decorating a home, something
still doesn’t feel right.
The worst thing about this is that you know you can’t just go out and
keep spending money – after all, no-one has a bottomless pit of the stuff (if you do, please get in touch and we can be friends).
Fortunately, there are a great range of things you can do to spruce up your home without having to spend a load of money.
For the living room, why not try poking holes in a dark lampshade to make a unique design that illuminates around the room? Or how about a bookshelf made
out of books?
In the kitchen, with a bit of clever storage design you’re able to create corner-drawers; allowing you to win back the corners that having separate drawers steal from you. Or, grab some electrical tape and use it to spruce up the design of your washing machine and other appliances – will you go stripy, spotty or have your own original pattern?
Instead of curtain hooks, why not use fancy ribbon to hang up your bedroom curtains? They are much nicer to look at than typical wooden or metal rings. There are also a wide variety of things you can do to improve the storage in your bedroom – use drawers, hangers and even ice cube trays for all of your clothing, jewellery and make up storage needs.
