2. Mark the opposite corners so that you have a cross marking the centre point of your piece of wood.
3. With your pencil, extend the cross to each outer corner of the wood, then from the centre point, measure 72mm towards each corner and make a pencil mark.
4. Using your combination square, mark 5mm either side of the line.
5. Using the markings in step 4, draw lines towards the corner maintaining the 5mm distance from the centre line.
6. Using your drill and 10mm drill bit, drill holes at the top of each line so that your glass slots can be cut.
7. You can now use the marked lines to cut out your glass slots using the jigsaw.
8. Drill your centre hole using your 30mm drill bit.
9. Hand plane and sand your edges to create a smooth 45 degree angle.
10. If you have a palm router, you can also add a 45 degree angled edge to your glass slots and centre hole. Alternatively, sand the edges to give your wine bottle and glass holder a smooth finish. And that's it! You now have the perfect dinner party table accessory.
